I joined Ohlinger Studios in February 2016 to start up digital and print production services and expand our end-to-end publishing capabilities from conceptualization to product release. In my role now as Product Development & Operations Manager and as part of the leadership team, I guide, support, and help connect both internal and external cross-functional groups across all disciplines. With an emphasis on digital product development, I focus on effective processes, client and vendor partnerships, and adapting to master new workflows, tools, and platforms.
During my 18-year publishing career, I have managed both textbook and digital production for a composition house, a major higher-education publisher, and a software company. Over the past 14 years, I have used what I learned from traditional textbook publishing to build digital models, including creating an eLearning catalog from scratch—growing the library from 23 courses to over 5,000 by transforming textbooks, developing new award-winning courses, and partnering with leading brands to integrate and deliver quality products through software platforms.
I have extensive experience with project management, developing workflows, optimizing processes, and managing complex technical projects, budgets, schedules, cross-functional teams, and onshore/offshore vendors. I have overseen all aspects of product development, including instructional design, content development, art and media development, graphic and user-interface design, accessibility, HTML and XML coding, digital and print production, platform/LMS integration, content and functional quality assurance, end-user documentation, release management, and product support.
I graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, IA, earning a BA in English with a minor in Journalism. Though I was born and raised in the Midwest, my home is now the Albany/Saratoga Springs, NY, area, where I live with my husband and two sons.
