I joined Ohlinger Studios in 2016 as Rights Acquisitions Manager. I am responsible for permissions clearance across all higher education disciplines. I directly manage projects in addition to contracting freelancers and vendors.
In my former position at Pearson Education, I also managed rights acquisitions for the higher education division. As a liaison manager, I partnered with a full-service vendor as Pearson explored assigning permissions management directly to vendors – now their primary business model.
My project management skills span two industries. Prior to joining Pearson, I worked for over a decade in the construction industry. I was a field engineer for a geotechnical consulting firm and later held the role of project engineer and estimator for a heavy civil foundations contractor.
I am an alumnus of the University of Rochester and Emerson College. I am originally from upstate New York; my wife, my children, and I now live in Dedham, MA, where I coach youth soccer and enjoy performing as an amateur musician.
