Megan Vertucci

I joined the Ohlinger team full time in January 2015. At Ohlinger Studios, I am Associate Development Editor for Sociology. I also assist development editors and managing editors across all disciplines in thinking through data visualizations and interactive tools which aid students in achieving data literacy.

Prior to joining Ohlinger Studios full time, I was a subject matter expert for the organization in the area of sociology. From 2007-2014, I was Assistant Professor of Sociology at Marion Technical College (Ohio). In addition to teaching, I coordinated all sociology courses and was course developer for Social Problems and Gender Studies. I also directed the Early College Partnerships program, overseeing enrollment, assessment and stakeholder communication, building a program that now enrolls over 800 high school students annually. Additionally, I have taught introductory and upper-level Sociology courses at Columbus State Community College (Ohio).

I earned my MA in Sociology at Bowling Green State University (Ohio) with specializations in Criminology, Social Psychology, and Statistics and Methods. At BGSU, I created the department’s Sociology through Film course.

I live in Columbus, OH, with my husband and two children.
