Rebecca Green

Since August 2015, I have had the pleasure of working for Ohlinger Studios in various disciplines, first as a development editor and now as the Managing Editor for Political Science.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Horticulture from Texas A&M University in 2000, graduating magna cum laude and as a member of the honors program.

Throughout my career in publishing, I have developed over 85 titles and revisions in political science, economics, art and humanities, radio/tv/film, psychology, and college success for Pearson Education (while at Ohlinger Studios), Cengage, and Harcourt College Publishers. I have developed many successful first editions and worked on numerous best-selling titles. I am skilled in both print and digital development, having spearheaded the creation of original online courses and interactivity, e-readers, and video projects. I have extensive market development and market seeding experience, running first-edition and competitive campaigns, large-scale review work, focus groups, and class tests.

As managing editor, I coordinate a talented team of development editors, collaborating with authors, instructors, students, and our publishing partners to develop innovative and engaging educational content—from conception to the classroom. We take great pride in the trust and rapport we build in these relationships, in addition to the creativity and acumen we bring to our work.

I live with my husband and son in Arlington, TX, where I enjoy hiking, gardening, live music, genealogy, and working in the community for autism awareness and advocacy.
