I have been a Development Editor at Ohlinger Studios since 2007. At Ohlinger, I manage author teams, create print and digital plans, as well as schedules and budgets, and oversee their implementation from conception through production to final product for textbooks in the humanities and the social sciences. I have collaborated with various Ohlinger teams, publishers, vendors, and authors to create print texts, e-books, online learning programs, ancillary content, and assessment tools. My recent projects have included print and digital editions for a variety of bestselling history, sociology, and political science titles, as well as title-specific video production.
Before I came to Ohlinger Studios, I served for 10+ years as a sales representative, and later as open territory sales support, at McGraw-Hill. As a sales rep, I managed an account base of 20+ OH/KY/WV colleges, generating up to $1,000,000 in annual sales. I represented educational textbooks in all disciplines of the college curriculum, providing field editorial/marketing support. I won the 1992 “Rookie of the Year” award, placing third in sales company-wide with $200,000 generated over quota, as well as the 1993 “Editorial Contributor of the Year” award. As sales support, I provided account management for open sales territories and conducted market research.
I graduated from the University of Texas, Austin, in 1987 with a Bachelor of Journalism.
