Before serving as a Sponsoring Editor and Sales Director, I was a sales representative in a territory that was largely individual choice, in Oregon, and later in a territory in central Texas that was almost exclusively large committees. That juxtaposition taught me the importance of listening to every customer and using their insights to help shape product so their needs are met upon publication. I very much enjoy putting all the puzzle pieces together in the publishing process as a market research analyst for new and revised products. I love the selling process and closing the circle from editorial development, market development to sales.
